Proyecto M – Official Biography

Proyecto M was a Latin pop trio formed in 1989 as a continuation of the musical phenomenon surrounding former EX Boy Band Menudo members as they transitioned into adulthood. The original lineup of Proyecto M consisted of René Farrait  - Ray Reyes - Xavier Serbia - Johnny Lozada

With this formation, Proyecto M preserved the charisma and energy of their earlier career while presenting a more mature artistic image. Their music blended Latin pop, romantic ballads, and Caribbean rhythms, appealing to audiences who had grown up with Menudo and were ready for a more adult sound. The group toured internationally and recorded songs that became fan favorites across Latin America.

After several years of activity, the original group eventually dissolved, and the name Proyecto M was left unused. Over time, the name became available and was later acquired in Spain by the music production company “Proyecto Musical.” In 2026, the company will relaunch Proyecto M as a new musical project inspired by the original concept, honoring the legacy while presenting a refreshed lineup and modern production. The new Proyecto M will reinterpret classic songs from the original group and release new material, continuing the brand's evolution and its connection with fans across generations. This new stage represents both a tribute to the former members and a creative expansion into the future of Latin pop music.
